Hello children!

From these stories you will learn that one should always tell the truth, work hard and help others. So let’s get started!
The Cunning Monkey And The Hungry Lion
There lived a clever monkey in a dense forest. His name was Chutki. Chutki was very mischievous and was always thinking of doing something new.
One day, Chutki felt very hungry. He was wandering here and there in the forest when he saw a lion. The lion was very hungry and his mouth watered after seeing Chutki.
The lion said to Pinch, “Hey Pinch, where are you going? Why are you looking so sad?”
Chutki thought, “If I tell the truth to the lion, he will eat me.” So he said to the lion, “I am going to a very big mountain. There are a lot of sweet fruits there. You also come with me.”
The lion was very happy and started walking with Pinch. On the way, Chinch was moving ahead jumping over the trees and the lion was following him.
After a while, Chinch climbed a very big tree. He said to the lion, “Look, that mountain is very far away. We still have a lot to walk. You must be tired, you sit here and rest. I will go and pluck some fruits.”
The lion sat under the tree and Chutchi got down from the tree and ran into the forest.
The lion waited for Chinchti for a long time but he did not return. Eventually, Sher understood that Chutki had betrayed him.
The lion became very angry but could not do anything. He thought, “Next time I will think very carefully before trusting anyone.”
Chutki reached home safely and told everything to his mother. His mother explained to him that lying was wrong.
From this story we learn:
- Lying is never good.
- One should think before trusting anyone.
- Trying to be clever doesn’t always work.
Rabbit Race
Once upon a time, there lived a rabbit in a forest. His name was Tinku. Tinku used to run very fast. He always boasted that he was the fastest animal in the forest.
One day, Tinku saw a tortoise. The tortoise moved very slowly. Tinku laughed at him and said, “Hey, you are very slow! I will catch you in one fell swoop.”
The tortoise said softly, “Maybe you are very fast, but running is not everything.”
Tinku did not like what the tortoise said. He challenged the tortoise to race. The tortoise agreed.
All the animals gathered to watch the race. The lion signalled and the race started. Tinku jumped and moved ahead. The tortoise was walking slowly. All the animals started laughing.
But, Tinku felt thirsty after some time. He sat under a tree and started drinking water. Meanwhile, the tortoise continued moving forward slowly. When Tinku started running again, the tortoise had already crossed the finish line.
All the animals started clapping. Tinku became embarrassed. He apologised to the tortoise and said, “I have realised my mistake. “Running isn’t everything.”
From then on, Tinku and the tortoise became good friends. He learned that everyone is good at something or the other and we should not make fun of others.
Learning from the story:
- Everyone is good at some work.
- Making fun of others is not a good thing.
- It is very important to have patience.
Cunning Fox And Crow
Once upon a time, there lived a fox in a dense forest. Her name was Sheela. Sheela was very clever and was always thinking of doing something new.
One day, Sheela felt very hungry. She was wandering around in the forest when she saw a crow sitting on a tree. The crow was holding a big insect in its beak.
Sheela thought, “If I take that worm from the crow, my hunger will be satisfied.”
Sheela went to the crow and said, “Brother crow, you sing so beautifully. My heart became very happy after hearing your voice.”
The crow was very happy to hear Sheela’s praise. He said to Sheela, “Thank you.”
Then Sheela said, “Crow brother, you sing so beautifully, I can sit for hours listening to your voice. But I don’t understand one thing, how were you able to catch such a big insect?
The crow became a little arrogant and said, “This is very easy. “I fly very fast and am very clever.”
Then Sheela said, “Wow! You are very smart. If you are so smart then let me hear your voice once.”
The crow agreed to Sheela’s words and started making ‘ka-ka’ in his voice. As soon as the crow opened its beak, Sheela quickly snatched the worm and ran away.
The crow was very disappointed. He thought, “Next time I will think very carefully before praising someone.”
From this story we learn:
- One should not always trust anyone’s words.
- It is not a good thing to be proud.
- Trying to be clever doesn’t always work.
Clever Squirrel And Lion

One day, Chinu saw a lion roaming in the forest. The lion was very hungry and his mouth watered after seeing Chinu.
The lion said to Chinu, “Hey Chinu, where are you going? Why are you looking so happy?”
Chinu thought, “If I tell the truth to the lion, he will eat me.” So she said to the lion, “I am going to a very big tree. There are a lot of sweet fruits there. You also come with me.”
The lion was very happy and went with Chinu. On the way, Chinu was moving ahead jumping on the trees and the lion was following her.
After a while, Chinu climbed a very big tree. He said to the lion, “Look, that tree is very far away. We still have a lot to walk. You must be tired, you sit here and rest. I will go and pluck some fruits.”
The lion sat under the tree and Chinu got down from the tree and ran into the forest.
The lion waited for Chinu for a long time but she did not return. Eventually, Sher understood that Chinu had betrayed him.
The lion became very angry but could not do anything. He thought, “Next time I will think very carefully before trusting anyone.”
Chinu reached home safely and told everything to her mother. His mother explained to him that lying was wrong.
From this story we learn:
- Lying is never good.
- One should think before trusting anyone.
- Trying to be clever doesn’t always work.
The Hardworking Ant And The Lazy Butterfly
Once upon a time, there lived a hardworking ant in a forest. Her name was Mini. Mini used to get up every morning and collect food.
One day, Mini saw a lazy butterfly. The butterfly was sitting on the flowers and sucking the juice.
Mini asked the butterfly, “Why are you so lazy? Why shouldn’t you collect food?”
The butterfly said, “Why do I need to store food? I remain happy only after drinking the juice of flowers.”
Mini explained to the butterfly, “Flowers will not bloom in the winter season and you will not get anything to eat. Therefore, you should collect food from now on.”
But Titli did not listen to Mini.
Winter came and the flowers withered. The butterfly did not find anything to eat. He felt very hungry.
Titli went to Mini and asked her for help. Mini gave her food to the butterfly.
Titli apologised to Mini and said, “I have realised my mistake. I will never be lazy from now on.”
From this story we learn:
